Mr. Peanutbutter casually tells Princess Carolyn, that the cast and crew hate him since word got out that he cheated on his fianc. She says that he won't always be her only priority. At the same time, people who had arrived at Mr. Peanutbutter's house for the surprise wedding jump out and yell Surprise! but they quickly retreat once Mr. Peanutbutter confesses his adultery, much to Pickles' shock. Diane says that she was a rebound, but Mr. Peanutbutter loved her unconditionally for ten years. Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane travel to his hometown on the Labrador Peninsula in Old Acquaintance to celebrate New Years with his older brother, Captain Peanutbutter, who picks them up from the airport. This almost jeopardized Mr. Peanutbutter's job, as he and Hank both work at MBN, he even looked up to Hank growing up, and he started receiving death threats for Diane. She goes on to say that Mr. Peanutbutter tries to solve problems or make them go away which comes off as dismissive, but if he wants to solve the problem he has to really listen to Pickles and Mr. Peanutbutter agrees and leaves the house to talk to Pickles. Mr. Peanutbutter storms off during the commercial break, unsure as to whether he should forgive BoJack. In The Light Bulb Scene, BoJack finishes the scene he started shooting earlier from Philbert, but afterward, he tries to express concern to Flip about his character. Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane split up. Todd and Mr. Peanutbutter don't get quite as much to do in the BoJack Horseman ending as Diane and Princess Carolyn, but this is more indicative of them having their own respective paths. He sternly tells BoJack "OK, that's enough." She tells him she actually came to take him to set, which BoJack thought he was on. However, after the two take their bath, Mr. Peanutbutter becomes irritated by the tomato sauce in his fur and tries to resist shaking off. BoJack gets back on the phone with his mom and says it was no one important. Mr. Peanutbutter tells her that it just looks like he did, and they have to re-edit the scene. Salinger, accidentally gets in a conference call with Diane and Princess Carolyn, and BoJack and Ana, with the latter two, are in New York when Princess Carolyn meant to put him on hold. Todd tries unsuccessfully to reach Mr. Peanutbutter, so Todd and the Orcas head over to the latter's house to get the strainers. Mr. Peanutbutter tells him he'll be fine and he questions what BoJack thinks will happen at the wedding. They shake hands but before she leaves Mr. Peanutbutter tells her about how he's seeing someone romantically. Mr. Peanutbutter responds by saying thats my girl," and walks past Princess Carolyn who mistakenly thinks that Mr. Peanutbutter is talking to her. Mr. Peanutbutter begins his campaign for governor, although he cannot run unless they get enough backers to recall the current governor, Woodchuck Coodchuck-Berkowitz. However, this role was almost jeopardized in Hank After Dark when Diane, while on a book tour with BoJack promoting the paperback version of BoJack's book, brought up dark allegations made towards veteran MBN talk show host Hank Hippopopalous from eight of his former assistants. Mr. Peanutbutter suggests to Pickles they go home, but Pickles wants to go to another party after they go home and change costumes. However, Diane says she so tired of squinting and breaks down crying, as Mr. Peanutbutter looks upset, as an implication their marriage has failed. BoJack explains that the letter is from Hollyhock and he can't open it because he's afraid she'll tell him she never wants to speak to him or see him again. Salinger pitches and idea for a game show to Wanda at MBN, where Hollywoo stars and celebrities answer questions and the audience finds out what they know and if they know things. On the set of Birthday Dad, Mr. Peanutbutter is filming a scene and he gets his lines wrong. BoJack tries to give her a compliment, but Diane's response is taken the wrong way. However, Diane realizes that the notes he took were all gibberish, and he admits that he wanted to get back together with her. Mr. Peanutbutter reassures him he won't screw it up. It's only natural for Dianne and Peanutbutter to drift apart. He tosses her the keys and tells her to take it for a spin. Mr. Peanutbutter finishes the movie and sees that he has ninety-eight missed messages. Gina begins to storm out, and tells BoJack to stay away from her, and get help, or not, because she doesn't care anymore. Unfortunately, the rhino doesn't get mad at Mr. Peanutbutter, but thanks him for getting him to stop smoking. Diane then comes to the front door and apologizes to Pickles for cheating, saying it was her fault, and it'll never happen again. At the end of The Telescope, BoJack kisses Diane, leaving things awkward for the two in the following episode, Horse Majeure. However, he specifies BoJack should bring it up only if the interview is going well. Mr. Peanutbutter intended to get another "D" but the unveiling reveals it's a "B," turning Hollywoo into "Hollywoob.". He confesses that he cheated on her twice a few months ago with Diane, much to Pickles grief, and she throws the ring again and starts screaming at such a high frequency that the glass window shatters. The wedding is then decided to be held at the restaurant BoJack owns on BoJack's suggestion so he has a better vantage to sabotage the wedding. He admits she's right because he doesn't want her to go on a six-month trip to a war-torn country with a billionaire who's also a handsome, eligible bachelor. Princess Carolyn, at first, assumes he needs a body buried; which initially shocks Mr. Peanutbutter. Diane says she isn't happy and that helping people and making a difference with Sebastian St. Clair could give her a reason to get out of bed. Mr. Peanutbutter was also originally going to be a Golden Retriever. Mr. However, Diane tells him she doesn't want to get back together with him, even though he pleads that he still loves her. She assures him she'll call him if she's out late, and that she's probably not going to have a good time and she's only doing it for work. Ralph, who is very wealthy as he is a Stilton, sets up an interview for Diane with his younger sister, Stefani Stilton, for her feminist blog website Girl Croosh. Pickles runs out of the house and onto the backyard patio and sits by the fire. In Mr. Peanutbutter's Boos, he thinks this is why all his relationships fail and why his exes went from fun and happy to bitter and meanbut Diane tells him it's because he dates young women, and they just grow up while he continues to act like a "man-child" who places all the responsibilities, including himself, on them, which tires them and leads them to end their relationship with him. She was a waitress at Elefant . Mr. Peanutbutter says that was his ex-wife, Jessica Biel. They agree fast food doesn't count and stop at a KFC, but it turns out to be "Kiki's French Cuisine," a fancy restaurant full of couples on dates. Pickles then calls him, and he asks how it went with Carl. Todd is enthusiastic about the idea, due to being high on marijuana. Mr. Peanutbutter ends up proposing to Pickles, instead of telling her the truth, setting the cycle of all his failed marriages back in motion. When Diane returns home later that night, Mr. Peanutbutter talks to Diane to apologize for his grand gestures and explains how much he loves her despite having different personalities. He goes outside where his wife Katrina, who's dressed as Blossom, is very cheerful and happily married to him. They reveal that they're burning the clothes, as opposed to removing the stench, because Carolyn said to "get rid" of them prior. BoJack says he's aware. Later, Princess Carolyn gets another phone call from Mr. Peanutbutter. Pickles then apologizes and says she will try to make this work for their relationship. At the desert, an upset Pickles doesn't want to sit on the blanket with Mr. Peanutbutter. Mr. Peanutbutter says that they're here for the Halloween party that he's had for the last eleven years, as BoJack always says at the end of the parties to do it again next year. Mr. Peanutbutter remarks he sometimes feels relief when he dreams that Diane disappeared from his life. When Pickles says that shes going to talk to her subscribers, Mr. Peanutbutter begs her not to tweed feed this information. Do They Know Things?? Despite Diane constantly voicing her dislike of them, Mr. Peanutbutter constantly tries to impress her with grand gestures because he's scared she'll get bored of him and leave like his previous wives. Todd bypasses the lawsuit because Walt Disney accidentally wrote down the wrong name for the trademark, "Diisneyland." She turns on a podcast which happens to be Diane's for Girl Croosh, making things awkward, especially when she brings up Mr. Peanutbutter dating Pickles, and how she's half his age. Mr. Peanutbutter thinks it's a wonderful idea and tells Oxnard to put all his money into spaghetti strainers, to Oxnard's dismay. While hes in the kitchen making her boba tea, the Boba maker asks if he wants whip cream and Mr. Peanutbutter stands there thinking. One of the kids pushes up his mask in protest and is revealed to be a young Todd. Mr. Peanutbutter answers the door and enthusiastically says that BoJack can live with him forever. In Angela, at the bookstore, Diane is signing copies of her book. He attended Northwestern University. Mr. Peanutbutter goes back to Katrina, telling her he got distracted by some guys with an Ouija board. During the limo ride to the desert, Mr. Peanutbutter asks the driver to turn off the romantic music and put something less romantic on. Season 6 sees Diane moving past the Peanutbutter divorce and an apparent crush on BoJack with a buffalo named Guy. The two say they love each other. A drunk Pickles goes up to Diane and tells Diane that it's okay if she's jealous because she's definitely not jealous of her. The same year, Mr. Peanutbutter and Jessica divorced, as Jessica was tired of him taking job offers that were beneath him, and she started dating Justin Timberlake immediately after she broke up with him. Diane then says if they met each other as the people they are things would be totally different between them. She asks if he's seen Mr. Peanutbutter and he says that he might be in the librarythe one he tried to give her when they decided to split up. However, Mr. Peanutbutter would act energetic and cheerful around BoJack, considering him a friend, which just annoys BoJack even more. While she was in a relationship with Mr Peanutbutter, BoJack planted a kiss on her lips but she was not interested in reciprocating the affection whatsoever. BoJack tells her he's on the phone, and Diane timidly apologizes and walks away. However, he is not as dumb as he might be letting on, as stupidity is part of his persona and a result of his naivety, and he can at times show hidden depth. He tells her they'll talk about this when she comes home. Instead, he gets cheered, for keeping them informed. Mr. Peanutbutter got to meet Hank at the after-party, excitedly tells Hank how much of a fan he is and how Hank inspired him as a kid, and he got a picture with him. BoJack then says he's hungry and suggests they go to the diner for lunch. Mr. Peanutbutter naively believes Todd is actually there to apply to be his personal driver and hires Todd after an impromptu interview. She gets upset, as it reminded her he'll never kiss her like that againand drives off crying and heartbroken. In his drug-induced hallucination BoJack walks through the set when he's once again transported to the empty set and golden staircase he saw earlier. When Mr. Peanutbutter asks BoJack why he dislikes him, BoJack admits that he is jealous. After Pickles learns about Diane, they agree she can sleep with multiple guys until she finds the right one to cheat on him with, although this ends up with her leaving him for Joey Pogo, and they officially break up through text in Xerox of a Xerox. He tells Mr. Peanutbutter he thinks someone is hiding something. Joey says that he wanted to set up a meeting but his assistant went on strike and he doesnt know how to use a phone. As he and Mr. Peanutbutter leave Princess Carolyn's office, Todd suggests he and Maude go on a double date with Mr. Peanutbutter and Pickles. Mr. Peanutbutter and Pickles get hungry, but Pickles says that restaurants are a date thing. In Season 6, he plays the eponymous character Birthday Dad in the show of the same name, which is a huge success. After BoJack is done filming for the day he asks Mr. Peanutbutter if he wants to get dinner. They run past BoJack, who is at the Cinnabunny. Mr. Peanutbutter guesses time flies when you're having fun. Later that night, Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter toast to their accomplishments, while sitting together in their living room. She tells Mr. Peanutbutter she feels like when she's part of an "us." Diane apologizes saying she didn't realize she was doing that. Mr. Peanutbutter then tells BoJack he's playing Julius Caesar on the stage next door for a short film. Princess Carolyn comes along, and Mr. Peanutbutter asks her about the reboot of a movie. Whenever she said something, Mr. Peanutbutter would stop himself from verbally replying, only responding to what Pickles says by nodding his head, and replied verbally when Pickles wanted an answer from him on how to make things right. Age-Gap Romance: There is an 11 year age gap between her and Mr. Peanutbutter, her boyfriend and later husband. Diane nervously rambles about how she loved Horsin Around and how the show played a huge role in her formative years. He then tells her there was a protest organized by Susan Sarandon. After learning the truth, they agree . He assists BoJack with his scheme to film a crucial scene for Secretariat that was written out of the film by the executives where Secretariat convinces Nixon to send his brother to Vietnam in his place, and he later learns he died in. Mr. Peanutbutter heads into the kitchen where he finds out the dishwashers all quit. Diane is still upset about BoJack, but Mr. Peanutbutter assures her that he won't even remember that he met her. Mr. Peanutbutter then tells her he went to see his doctor in order see if he could make him feel better. Mr. Peanutbutter says he's pretty sure they hate each other. Although off-screen, BoJack then reminds Mr. Peanutbutter that he was in a rehab facility, and Mr. Peanutbutter subsequently leaves. He listens to two of them and returns home. Diane says that she isn't ruined, and he says that his problem is that he doesn't listen. They talked for ten minutes about how the government is using their money. He accepts and Mr. Peanutbutter rescues him when the park begins to crumble and burn down. In the 90s he had a tuft of wavy hair. Of course, hes on board with the idea. After the play, Pickles livestreams her reaction saying that the play had so many dysfunctional relationships, and Mr. Peanutbutter noticeably gets nervous when Pickles says that shes glad that they dont have a relationship like that. Mr. Peanutbutter tells her he has always tried to be an "us" with people. He leaves, and it's revealed Mr. Peanutbutter heard the whole thing. BoJack admits it's because he's jealous that Mr. Peanutbutter feels good about himself, and BoJack doesn't know if he'll ever be able to do that. Mr. Peanutbutter then questions this. Mr. Peanutbutter is a male Labrador Retriever. Better yet. Although he doesnt completely understand whats going on, he agrees to have sex with Pickles. In Xerox of a Xerox, At VIM, Princess Carolyn and Judah are preparing BoJack for the interview and telling him what to say when Mr. Peanutbutter walks in and asks BoJack to mention Birthday Dad in his interview and to welcome him to the MBN Thursday night family. Princess Carolyn freaks out upon seeing that Todd and Mr. Peanutbutter have started a fire outside. Todd and Emily pitch "Cabracadabra," a rideshare app that provides a safe space for women, to Mr. Peanutbutter in Stop the Presses. She states she doesn't want Mr. Peanutbutter to be governor because she thinks he would be bad at it. He tells her is just distracted as he feels lonely in his big house after Pickles left. Mr. Peanutbutter shows the latter problem after he cheats on Pickles by sleeping with Dianeand he asks her to break the news to Pickles, which Diane rightfully refuses to do. Mr. Peanutbutter tells the driver to change the station but tells her to go back to the podcast when he alternative announces they'll be playing a new song from Twenty One Pilots. BoJack then once again tries to call Hollyhock and then leaves her a voicemail and tells her he hasn't read her letter yet. In BoJack Hates the Troops, he briefly filmed for a reality show titled Peanutbutter and Jelly. Later, Pickles and Joey finish having sex in the meat locker. They attended BoJack's Halloween Party in 2004, where Jessica wanted them to dress like the lead characters from the movie The Notebook, but Mr. Peanutbutter ends up dressing as an actual notebook. When Doctor Champ warns everybody that the event will be starting in five minutes, Mr. Peanutbutter encourages BoJack to hurry so they get good seats. Mr. Peanutbutter starts talking to BoJack, and after Diane talks to Mr. Peanutbutter he thinks she's in New York too, but quickly tells her he's not accusing her and that he feels better when he knows where she is. BoJack later shows up at Mr. Peanutbutter's house after losing his home. He has the capital to start them despite never following through with them. While Mr. Peanutbutter is able to go into great detail while expressing himself to Diane, Diane has trouble doing so. She agrees to go despite Mr. Peanutbutter wanting to just stay in. In between takes, Mr. Peanutbutter remarks how much fun they are having filming together. Pickles goes on to say if they carry on like before, and pretend nothing happened shes going to feel stupid, saying that they cant just go back and Mr. Peanutbutter nods his head in silent agreement. Diane says he either needs to date older woman or grow up himself, or his girlfriends will keep outgrowing him. In Start Spreading The News, Mr. Peanutbutter, in a meeting at MBN with Pinky Penguin and J.D. In Love And/Or Marriage, Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane are at couples therapy. Diane gives her some water and tells her she understands that it's hard to be the new girlfriend. He proposes to Diane, and she accepts. She says it's because she auditioned for The Mummy movie for the role of the mummy with Brendan Fraserand didn't get the part. BoJack is then told he needs to move his head away from the camera by the director. Joey then reveals himself to be hanging by a clothes hanger inside the hotel room closet, giving Mr. Peanutbutter an idea. As he approaches Mr. Peanutbutter and Princess Carolyn, Princess Carolyn pushes Mr. Peanutbutter in front of Joeys car, and Mr. Peanutbutter is left slightly puzzled when he doesnt get hit by Joeys slow-moving car. Diane tells him things are really good with her and Guy. Pickles and Joey come to Mr. Peanutbutter's table and they announce that they have developed feelings for each other and are now going to make love. Why did BoJack and Diane get a divorce? Mr. Peanutbutter also starts ranting about Greg, a man he met once at a gas station, saying that he sucks too. She says Mr. Peanutbutter doesn't even know Buzzy. He reveals Diane told him, and BoJack in general being mean to him, despite him just wanting to be his friend. Do They Know Things?? Mr. Peanutbutter tells her she should, so that she can feel good about herself and because some space may be good for them at the moment. Mr. Peanutbutter goes on to say that he loves the meme where the boyfriend is looking at another lady and the girlfriend turns to him with an expression of tremendous pain asking how could a man who claims to love her betray her, saying that its a very sad meme. Flip yells cut and tells Mr. Peanutbutter that's what real strangling looks like. He can also be described as a "man-child," as he is around BoJack's age but still acts like a twenty-something-year-old party animal. Later that night, Diane signed the papers and officially divorced Mr. Peanutbutter. Mr. Peanutbutter apologizes and says he got distracted by the fun party. Disaster Dominoes: BoJack's Halloween parties inevitably seem to be the tipping point where Mr. Peanutbutter's relationships start falling apart, but the one with Jessica Biel takes the cake. Although Doug agrees with him, Mr. Peanutbutter backtracks saying that confessing to cheating might just be his guilt talking, and maybe it would be better if he let sleeping dogs lie." He notes that shaking off made their problem worse, despite the skunk scent being cleared from their bodies. Princess Carolyn tells him that she needs to get home to her new baby and Mr. Peanutbutter congratulates her on the new baby saying that it could be a movie idea, but Princess Carolyn leaves anyway. Both have key moments with BoJack Mr. Peanutbutter picks him up from prison, and Todd watches the fireworks stop his shoulders on the beach. At least that's the way I think of it. Mr. Peanutbutter tells Doug that in order to move forward with his wife he needs to be honest with her. Mr. Peanutbutter says anytime he went to a Halloween party with Katrina, they always got in a big fight, but Jessica tells him she isn't Katrina, and they'll have fun. She gets a call from BoJack who complains about having to learn five pages of dialogue, and about how everyone on set has their attention on Mr. Peanutbutter when they're supposed to like him/Philbert because he's the star. The ships sink and the pasta falls in the ocean. Pickles tells Mr. Peanutbutter the only way for them to be even is if Pickles got to sleep with someone else and Mr. Peanutbutter quickly agrees. Mr. Peanutbutter tells Pickles to think of his family because they need him to be strong as his older brother Captain Peanutbutter confessed to him that he feels like hes in a loveless marriage with his wife.
